Peter F. discusses Rob P.

On April 30, 2010, I attended the Twilight Convention in Charlotte, NC. The special Twilight guest that day was Peter Fanicelli. He was so personable and wonderful! He told a great story about filming a scene in Twilight: The time in Chicago when Carlisle changed Edward.

If you think back to that scene, you will remember that Rob sort of smiles slightly after Peter whispers in his ear. Peter said that they needed 3 takes to film that scene.

Peter said that he was told to just say anything to Rob when he leaned over him. Peter said that the first time he said something like, "Please forgive me for what I am about to do. Know that I do it only to save you."

In the second take, Peter said something like, "I'm sorry, Edward. After the pain and burning, there will be an eternity for me to make it up to you. It won't be long now, son."

On the third take, Peter leaned over Rob and said, "Rob, you are such a gorgeous hunk," which made Rob smile. That final take was the one that was used in the film.

It sounded like they had a lot of fun.

I have always liked Carlisle, but since I heard Peter speak at the convention, I am such a big fan of Dr. Cullen!
